A wide angle view toward the center of our own Milky Way galaxy. This is a modified version of a picture taken by David Talent at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile. A box has been added showing the exact location of the Galactic Center: this box is 39 arc minutes on a side, which is the size of the infrared mosaic image taken at Kitt Peak (qv: there'll be a cross-reference when it's posted).
